As part of their work on the Romans, Year 5 spent Friday 22nd November in St Albans. First, they visited the beautiful cathedral where they learnt about some of its long history before taking part in a workshop to make their own Roman-style mosaics. After lunch they visited the Verulanium Museum to find out more detailed information about St Alban’s past. They also had the chance to carefully handle some real artefacts from Roman times. The whole day was incredibly interesting and useful for them as they were able to see the local area from a completely new perspective.
