As part of our learning about Healthy Animals in science Year 2 have been observing the life cycle of butterflies. They were extremely excited on Friday morning to find that one of their caterpillars, who had all been safely cocooned for the last couple of weeks, had emerged as a beautiful butterfly! Since then eleven more have appeared and they are all fluttering around their enclosure. Can you see one feeding on a slice of ripe pear through it’s proboscis?
