World Religion Day

On Monday 20th January, Kenilworth celebrated World Religion Day with groups of children, who belong to different religious communities, speaking to the rest of the school during our assembly.

The children who participated gave up several lunchtimes to make sure that their presentation was informative and interesting and they confidently spoke about their religions to the whole school. This assembly showed a real celebration of difference, which is one of our values, as everyone was very interested in how people who are part of different religious groups celebrate, dress and eat. Some of the groups even brought in special objects to show, such as religious statues, books and clothing worn in ceremonies.
