World Book Day – Secret Readers

At Kenilworth, children are given the opportunity to listen to a story read by their class teacher at the end of the day during Story Time. Last week, as part of our World Book Day celebrations, we changed things up!

Each day a Secret Reader was invited into every classroom to share their favourite story with everyone. We were so pleased to see so many parents, carers and teachers join in the fun! The children were so excited to see who would sneak into the classroom each day and they were completely engaged for every storyteller.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time and took part – we couldn’t have done it without you. This was such a magical experience for our children and it really helped to make our book week a special one.

If you missed out this time and would still like to take part, please speak with your class teacher. We would love to hear from you!
