On Thursday 7th February ten girls from our football team were invited by Arsenal Women F.C. Development Officer to be either player escorts or part of the guard of honour for the Arsenal W.F.C. fixture against Manchester United W.F.C. for the Semi Final of the Continental Cup. The match was played at Meadow Park, Borehamwood which is Arsenal W.F.C’s home ground. The match was broadcast live on BT Sport. ‘First they were choosing who was holding the flag. Then they chose who was going to go out with the players. After, we went out on the pitch and we were on TV! Then we went to our parents, found a seat and watched the match. We all started cheering and shouting ‘Red Army!’ The game ended with Arsenal winning 2-1. We loved it and hope that we can do it again.’ Thank you to Xenia and Savannah (Year 5) for the amazing report. They took part with Isabella, Tomi, Layla, McKaila, Leah, Jess, Casey and Charli M.
