After numerous recent discussions in Year 6, they decided that it was time that they treated each other with more respect and were more accepting of the individual qualities we all have.
They began using ‘kindness coins’ to recognise and appreciate the good things that others do for them. This was an instant success and they decided that their assembly could be an opportunity to spread a little happiness into the lives of others.
For a week, the children wanted to perform anonymous, random acts of kindness for the rest of the school. During the week, they made biscuits for every class, left kind notes on people’s desks, played games with children at break times and much more.
They learned that making other people happy also made them happy! Well done Year 6!
