Year 3 Scottish Food

 

As part of their topic on the Highlands and Lowlands, Year 3 have had a fantastic time exploring healthy eating with a range of traditional Scottish food.  As well as enjoying porridge and cranachan, they spent Wednesday afternoon making Scotch Broth. They prepared all the ingredients carefully; chopping and weighing all the vegetables before they were cooked for about three hours in a stock that they had made too. ‘It was nice and warm and had lots of vegetables in, which I like.’ – Keona.
