As part of our ‘Feel-Good’ week dedicated to the book ‘Here We Are’ by Oliver Jeffers, Year 4 have been focusing on activities inspired by the text. The children in class have begun making 3D models of our planet. They used paper mache to cover their balloon and will be painting the surface of the balloons once they have dried. This task really related to our school values as the children had to be resilient when they faced challenges with their work and they showed great kindness through helping others who faced problems.
Lidia said, “It was very fun and messy creating the Earth.”
Yannis said, “Completing paper mache for the first time was very exciting.”
Annie said, “It might get a bit messy but using paper towels to keep tidy was helpful!”
